Joe Paterno Press Conference (11/6)
Al Golden said yesterday that the Penn State-Temple game is a "win win" situation for both programs. I was wondering what you think Penn State gets out of playing Temple?
Al didn't check with me (laughs). I haven't talked to him. I'm not sure what he meant by "win win" to be frank. I think it's a good football game. It's good for our school to be in Philadelphia; we have a lot of alumni down . . .

Joe Paterno PRESS CONFERENCE October 23, 2007
You have seen James Laurinaitis on film more than we have. What makes him so effective?
He's like a lot of our kids. Very much like (Dan) Connor and very much like (Sean) Lee. They're smart, they can run, and they're very aggressive.
He is a fine football player. He might be a little bigger than Connor and Lee. I don't know him that well. He is . . .

Some of your players look at your game at Indiana in 2004 as a turning point for the program. Do you agree with that assessment? What do you remember about that game?
I remember we won it. We made that goal line stand. I don't know. You can always kind of...everybody wants to be smart. At this point, this happened. At this point, this happened. It certainly was a big win for us. . . .

Well, there were several incidents, such as the violation by Austin Scott..
Austin Scott was a different situation. I was disappointed but, what else are you talking about?
The four . . .

Joe Paterno Press Conference (10/2)
Oct. 2, 2007
How are you and your staff addressing the problems on offense, especially the ones in the red zone?
Well, give me a couple specifics. I think the obvious parts are that sometimes we haven't caught the ball, sometimes we put the ball on the ground. You practice. What else? If there's something else I'm not seeing, let me know, will you? There are obviously a couple of penalties, a . . .

At Michigan -- Will the officiating be fair?? (9/19)
This article was submitted by Andy (PSU sports enthusiast and watch dog)
This is a disgrace!!!
Look at the officiating crew assigned for the Michigan game. I thought PSU was due for some calls to go our way after the last couple trips to the Big House but it doesn't look good. Could get homered again! They just better not adjust the clock at the end of the game!!!
The Big Ten is assigning . . .
